The wings healed up beautifully & even survived my trip to Tennessee to see my family.

I was a bit doubtful about the red & it does need to be touched up a little bit later, but its completely grown on me. The cerulean colors of the body are my favorite.

Things are working out better for Alex & I. Hopefully he'll continue to come to my appointments & I'll be able to go with him to his in the spring.

Grez is shown above. Love him.

Alex stayed for most of this tattoo & left in the middle. He was there as my...friend. It was amazingly awkward, but I did have a great time talking to Grez.

On the phone with mommy.

I've been having Grez only use the bandages because it heals up better when I only use the bandages.

Just a week after Alex & I broke up, a day after I got my..."closure meeting" & on the day of Animefest. Izzy came with me to this appointment and had a good time talking with Grex they got along really well. I was looking forward to this appointment because I wanted my physical pain to match my emotional pain. Somewhat morbid, but what can I tell you?

The flames were done today & they came out beautifully. I always have a great time talking to Grez & I was really happy to see that Izzy was as well. Today was, incidentally, my mom's birthday, but she didn't feel well so we didn't do much celebrating.

I was starving the entire session, but it was alright. It healed up very easily and didn't even need a touchup despite being mostly reds. I also got part of a wing done & fell in love with the teal used for it.

Well, a lot happened since my first appointment. For one thing, the summer happened. I lived for sunscreen, but I had a lot of fun showing my outline off. However, as much fun as that was, I couldn't wait for the color! There was also a lot of drama with Alex & I, so it was a hard wait for this escape.

The healing for this one was the most painful. Probably because I ended up having a huge argument that involved a lot of crying & a lot of moving around and thus...well lets just say it was really painful to heal.

the first: 1.1

May 17th 2oo8: My first tattoo appointment ever.

Artist: Grez
Studio: Kings Avenue Tattoo
Tattoo: Pheonix & Lotus Blossom left side back piece

Grez drew up the size I now wear & one that was 10% smaller. I, of course, chose this tattoo to be as big as its original concept and vetoed the smaller one. (Alex & Grez were apparently very pleased about this, behind me.)

Was it painful? Of course. It was my first tattoo! Parts of it cover my ribs, my spine, my shoulder blades...there are plenty of painful spots.

Nudity? I was surprisingly okay with Grez seeing me topless because he thinks of it like my mom thought of her nude models: canvas. It doesn't bother me. Besides Alex was there & that helped with the pain & the embarrassment.

Today the outline was completed! It was a painful ride home, but I survived it. Even showed it off to my friends at Dunkin Donuts.

Still red! Just a few minutes after finishing up.
